How to get IEB Membership?: One step ahead to be a Professional Engineer (PEng.) in Bangladesh

The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) is the national professional organization of Engineers in the People's Republic Of Bangladesh which is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) of the country. 

Eligibility for Member:

Age: Age should not be less than 27 (twenty-seven) years.

Occupation: At the time of his application, applicant shall be actuallly engaged in the design and/or construction of engineering work or engaged as a teacher of engineering in a technical university or college or institute recognized by the Council or engaged in engineering research.

Qualification: Applicant shall have completed a course of studies in engineering leading to a degree recognized by the Council. (List of Accredited Program and University)

Documents Required:

1. Passport size photo- 2 Copy

2. Certificates- SSC, HSC/Diploma, B.Sc. Engineering

3. Transcript- HSC/Diploma, B.Sc. Engineering

4. Certificate of any other professional body (If any)

5. Photocopy of NID

6. Recognized training record of last 2 Years (At least one training certificate)

7. Details Job summary report of 1500 words (member) and 2000 words (fellow).

Application Procedure:

1. Download the Membership form and fill up it.

2. Collect the documents listed in the above.

3. Take the signature of one IEB Fellow and two IEB Member on the second page of the application form.

4. Deposit the subscription money to the IEB center.

5. Submit the Complete application to IEB (In the below address or any IEB center in Bangladesh)

IEB Bhavan, 2nd Floor, Beside High Court, Moulana Bhasani Rd, Ramna, Dhaka 1000

6. After getting your membership you will get a notification SMS. 

Do not Forget to DO:

1. All the documents need to be attested by IEB Member

2. The applicants must be shown the “original certificate and transcript” when submit the membership form to IEB Centers.
